how does it work?

Working with a consultant is the best choice for your business. It is not necesary to have a consultant help you but it will do so much for your professional image in choosing the right work for you. Here are some questions that are asked of me regularly and how it all works.

Why choose a consultant?

Here are the facts, a consultant is to advise you on your selection of artwork but can also help you with all the purchases of art from beginning to end of all the transactions. There are several corporations that hire a consultant because they may not have the time or they need some advice as to who to contact or from where to purchase the art. There are also businesses that may need art and not need a designer, at Houston Art Consultant we can do both, we can work with your designer or with your team.

So now that you have understood, here is another great reason to choose a consultant. Every gallery works with a set of artists, about 10-30 in their portfolio. Do you as a client feel that everything chosen by the gallery would properly

represent your business needs? What if he price point was above the available purchasing price? Working with a consultant means you are working with over a thousand artists because a consultant is not restricted to buy from one sole dealer and can purchase from any gallery, any art studio and any wholesale dealer.

Where do I start?

What happens at the consultation?

At the consultation, you will discuss what you need. A consultant will take notes and review with you your options and ideas. It may be that you want art but not know what kind. It may be that you have no idea what to select for art because there is a space that is very restricted or goes unseen. A consultant will give you all the advise you need. Once the consultant has a better idea of what you are looking for the consultant can go over some art works that may be able to work. Are Consultations free?

That is what sets us apart from other consultants. As a consultant, I want your money to go toward your purchases and because a consulant already earns commission directly from the artist, we have the ability to work on your behalf at no charge.

What about pricing for art? Can we stay under our budget?

Saving money is the #1 reason as to why you should hire us to help you. A consultant is to keep the projected plan under budget and will help you by all means reach all your financial goals. Certainly artwork prices can rise and fall at any moment because art is like any other luxury item but I can be certain to advise you that all art is a real investment and can enhance not only your spaces but your pocketbook as a long term opportunity. Tell your consultant as soon as you know, how much you plan to spend in the budget, if not the consultant can waste unnecessary time with purchases that are not in your plans. Instead allow the consultant to know freely how much you can spend to when in search the consultant can show you what pieces are in your price range. There are great artworks that can be found in your budget. Some important things to remember is that if the costs of paintings are too high; remember that all your choices can be asked upon the artist to be printed at a very low cost to you.
